Our team has over 15 years of investment management experience. Our small team of fund managers use a variety of instruments in order to generate maximum returns for the firm's clients. In addition to equity research across a wide range of sources, the team also uses its in house expertise. Where possible, derivatives are employed either to generate income or protect a position in one of ProAcct's managed funds.

When investing in equities, it is imperative you do so for the long term. History provides us with a very clear picture. Over time markets generally rise. Of course there have been both ups and downs but even so the market has continued to rise.

Don’t try to time the market, give the market time!

Such a simple rule yet so often disregarded. Equity markets are complex beasts. There are so many participants that make up a market; and so many conflicting views that simply put, make it virtually impossible to successfully time markets. It’s akin to guess work.

Investing in a basket of diverse stocks over a long period of time eliminates this guess work. From time to time markets WILL fall… it’s a certainty. However, over time they will recover and eventually edge higher. Giving the market time and having a longer term view will help you weather the financial storms that equities are often faced with.
