The Australian market finished lower last week; the first time after 10 straight weeks of positive returns. The All Ordinaries closed down 1.9% to 4,913.5 points whilst the ASX 200 settled at 4,881.5 points.
There were falls across the board with all the major banks and big miners suffering losses.

ANZ finished down 1.9% to $25.20
CBA finished down 2.7% to $58.20
Macquarie finished down 3.1% to $50.00
NAB finished down 0.4% at $28.25
WBC finished down 3.1% to $27.30
Resources
BHP finished down 3.6% to $41.97
RIO Tinto finished down 4.0% to $76.45
Woodside Petroleum down 0.9% to $46.31
Finally the Aussie market retreated last week. It’s possible that there is further downside risk over the coming weeks. However, long term buying opportunities remain the common theme.
