The Aussie bourse continued on its merry way last week notching up an 8th consecutive positive close as the market poised for a four day break for the Easter period. Gains were enjoyed by the big miners however the banking sector slipped a fraction. The All Ordinaries finished up 0.4% whilst the ASX 200 closed up 0.2%. The indices settled above the 4,900 point mark.

ANZ finished down 0.6% to $25.29
CBA finished down 1.0% to $56.79
Macquarie finished down 5.6% to $47.11
NAB finished up 0.2% at $27.65
WBC finished down 0.2% to $27.93
Resources
BHP finished up 1.5% to $43.95
RIO Tinto finished up 1.6% to $79.60
Woodside Petroleum flat at $46.92
While there are some investment houses predicting a near term rise to 5,200, 8 consecutive weekly rises may suggest otherwise. Tread wearily over the next month or so.
