The market experienced some weakness last week with both the All Ordinaries and the ASX 200 slipping 1.5%. The benchmark ASX 200 index settled at 4635.2 points.
All major stocks finished lower for the week with the exception of NAB.
Banks
ANZ finished down 3.1% to $21.30
CBA finished down 2.7% to $52.50
Macquarie finished down 1.2% to $47.89
NAB finished up 0.4% to $28.21
WBC finished down 2.0% to $23.56
Resources
BHP finished down 2.2% to $40.50
RIO Tinto finished down 2.3% to $70.18
Woodside Petroleum finished down 3.9% to $47.18
With only 13 trading days to go before the market says goodbye to 2009, it will be touch and go as to whether on not we will end the year breaking through the 5,000 level. |
