The Wrap

This week’s ProWrap is dedicated to my good friend and Blues tragic Ace Tenace! I’d like to take this opportunity to thank him for his invaluable support over the years… thanks mate!

Both the All Ordinaries and the ASX 200 finished the week higher edging up more than 1%. The former closed at 4,589 points whilst the latter settled at 4,562 points. It was a turbulent week for stocks with the big miners rallying and the banking sector largely lower.

Banks
ANZ finished down 1.5% to $20.59
CBA finished down 0.7% to $52.30
Macquarie finished down 5.7% to $47.35
NAB finished down 3.6% to $24.40
WBC finished up 2.6% to $23.20

Resources
BHP finished up 3.2% to $40.82
RIO Tinto finished up 8% to $71.94
Woodside Petroleum finished up 3.1% to $42.80

With an 8% retreat from our recent highs, it appears value is beginning to emerge. However, we remain cautious in the short term.
