The Australian market gained ground last week rising more than 1.5%. The All Ordinaries closed at 4,656 points whilst the benchmark ASX 200 settled at 4,635 points.
In what was generally a better week for the market as a whole, Macquarie slipped as did Rio Tinto.

ANZ finished up 6.7% to $21.96
CBA finished up 1.0% to $52.81
Macquarie finished down 2.3% to $6.25
NAB finished up 3.5% to $25.25
WBC finished up 9.7% to $25.46
Resources
BHP finished up 0.4% to $41.00
RIO Tinto finished down 1.3% to $71.00
Woodside Petroleum finished up 1.9% to $43.61
With earnings the main feature this week, the market will be watching closely for both corporate earnings growth and future guidance.
