Another miserable week with global markets a sea of red! Nothing was spared with the major banks and the miners smashed. Both the All Ordinaries and the ASX 200 fell almost 4.0% for the week.
Banks
ANZ finished down 7.2% to $20.86
CBA finished down 4.5% to $47.73
Macquarie finished down 8.9% to $36.00
NAB finished down 3.1% at $23.06
WBC finished down 3.6% to $20.96
Resources
BHP finished down 4.4% to $37.09
RIO Tinto finished down 6.2% to $65.30
Woodside Petroleum down 5.3% to $41.00
Again we have to ask the question, where to from here? With the local market down some 800 point or 16%, it will take investors with nerves of steel of jump in and buy stocks. However, valuations have become quite compelling and opportunities for long term investors are appearing.
