To call this market a ‘dog’ is an insult to man’s best friend. This weak, abject institution is so gripped with fear, it quivers at the very thought of trouble offshore.
The insignificant Australian market on a global scale lost another 4% last week. Although it managed a 3% rise in the previous week, it peeled off 4% the week before that. That makes it a combined 5% thrashing in the past 3 weeks.

CBA finished down 2.5% to $49.27
Macquarie finished down 8.3% to $27.57
NAB finished down 4.8% to $24.00
WBC finished down 5.5% to $20.42
Resources
BHP finished down 4.6% to $41.42
RIO Tinto finished down 3.0% to $80.00
Woodside Petroleum finished down 3.6% to $38.35
