The Aussie market continued on its merry way last week edging higher by more than 1%. The All Ordinaries climbed 1.2% whilst the ASX 200 finished the week higher by 1.1%. Both indices settled above the 4,800 point level.
Gains were experienced across the board with both the major banks and the mining giants rising over the course of the week.
Banks
ANZ finished up 1.8% to $24.26
CBA finished up 1.4% to $55.88
Macquarie finished up 3.5% to $49.76
NAB finished up 1.5% to $26.90
WBC finished up 0.6% to $26.90
Resources
BHP finished up 0.8% to $42.85
RIO Tinto finished up 1.3% to $75.96
Woodside Petroleum finished up 2.0% to $45.41
With positive news flow continuing and global markets settling, the local bourse looks set to continue its rise into the Easter period.
