The Aussie market continued its extraordinary run last week posting more gains and closing higher for the sixth time in the past seven weeks. Both the benchmark All Ordinaries and the ASX 200 indices edged higher by around 0.5% settling just under 4,860 points.
It was a mixed week for the major banks whilst the miners were generally weaker.

ANZ finished down 2.9% to $23.85
CBA finished up 1.7% to $56.24
Macquarie finished down 3.4% to $53.24
NAB finished down 2.1% to $30.91
WBC finished up 1.3% to $27.30
Resources
BHP finished down 2.6% to $40.20
RIO Tinto finished down 4.0% to $67.50
Woodside Petroleum finished down 1.7% to $51.80
Company earnings in the US continue to beat expectations and as a result, share prices have risen. Solid earnings in Australia have also kept the rally going locally.
