The Australian market was down again last week shedding 1% of its value closing below 4,200 points. To say it cannot gather momentum is an understatement. The volatility remains relentless and as a consequence, share prices continue to experience large fluctuations.
The big miners all finished lower for the week as did the major banks with the exception of ANZ; it was flat.

Markets have become so sensitive global leaders can’t say anything without them reacting. They (the markets) hang on every word trying to interpret what the information disseminated actually mean. Emotions have taken over and unfortunately fundamentals don’t mean a thing.
