The Wrap
After three solid weeks of gains the Australian market slipped back into what has been familiar territory over the past couple of years. Last week it put in another insipid performance; the kind of performance we’ve come accustom to.
Stocks were lower across the board with the exception of Westpac in the banking sector.
Banks
ANZ finished down 2.2% to $23.61
CBA finished down 1.7% to $52.22
Macquarie finished down 2.4% to $34.50
NAB finished down 0.5% to $26.19
WBC finished up 0.9% to $24.80
Resources
BHP finished down 0.5% to $47.53
RIO Tinto finished down 2.4% to $84.15
Woodside Petroleum finished down 01.4% to $46.62
The local bourse has really shown its true colours following negative leads from abroad but ignoring the positive ones. Very frustrating!
